Confidence Boost… A Reason to Smile
Dartmouth Dental Centre offers a wide range of general, cosmetic, and restorative dental services for your whole family in Dartmouth. Our experienced and friendly dental team will make you feel comfortable and help you with your oral concerns. We focus on helping each of our patients get the beautiful smile they have always wanted.
As a new patient, your first visit will include a comprehensive examination which involves:
Reviewing your medical history
Assessing the jaw joint, surrounding muscles, soft tissues of the mouth and gums
Assessing periodontal health by measuring the gum level around each tooth
Examining each individual tooth as well as bite condition
Screening for oral cancer
Other diagnostic tools such as X-rays may be needed to make a dental diagnosis.
Once we complete the examination, your dental concerns will be addressed. We will discuss your diagnosis and come up with an effective treatment plan.
Dental Cleanings
On the day of your new patient exam, cleaning will not be booked. Depending on your diagnosis, you will need to meet our dental hygienist for a specific length of time. Unless it is an emergency, children under 15 will have their teeth checked by the dental hygienist first. Your children will have their teeth, gums, and bite examined by the dentist as well as have their teeth cleaned all in the same appointment.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
